In nine weeks (and how that time will fly!) Sarah will be running the London Marathon, with the hope of raising money for Hackney Laces.
Going from a non runner to attempting a marathon in little over a year has been tough going, but after racking up more miles in her trainers than the car each week, completing this massive test of endurance is becoming an ever closer reality.
With race day fast approaching, Sarah is grateful for all the support with training she is receiving from the Hackney Laces team, not least the speed tests required to keep up in matches in training each week! Sarah will be joined by Katee and three of girls from the team for the Hasting’s Half Marathon on the 24th March, providing the perfect opportunity to see if all the training has paid off!
After battling the gruelling conditions of snow, wind and rain over the winter, Sarah is hopeful for sun on race day, but most of all the support of the team and all the other spectators cheering on. If 26.2 miles seems crazy to you, it still does to Sarah too. She would appreciate any support you can give her, and make this massive challenge worth it.
Please support Sarah in her run! You can donate here.
