Last night, Hackney Laces celebrated the past year of activities and achievements with an awards ceremony. Hosted by great friend of the club, TV presenter Abi Griffiths, the Hackney Marshes centre was a fitting venue to host this event.
There was a fantastic turn out players, their family and friends, as well as Hackney Laces who were all able to come together to celebrate the club’s successes, as well as those of individuals. The players, who looked far more glamorous than in their football kit, were honoured for achievements such as effort and improvement.

The evening was a fantastic celebration for everything achieved over the past year, and all the individuals and organisations that have made it possible. Members such as Luke Ervine, Zoe Quirk, Pete Blackwell and Chris Cummins were all honoured for their unrelenting support. This was a great opportunity for the players to appreciate how much backing the club gets in so many ways.
We now look forward to the year ahead, with an extremely successful one behind us we hope to continue to grow and develop as a club, with some exciting opportunities on the horizon. With new awards to be dished out in a years’ time, the girls will be hard back at work with an intense pre-season programme, and two league competitions to be contested from the autumn. Bring on the next season at Hackney Laces!
