WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE?
We are completely open to all ages, with players ranging from as young as 9 up to women in their forties. The majority of girls fall between 14 and 18 years old. We are intergenerational because we think women and girls can be role models for each other regardless of life stage.
WHEN IS TRAINING?
Training runs from 6-7pm on a Thursday night at The Petchey Academy. If you sign in at reception, staff will be able to guide you to the astro turf.
HOW DO I PLAY MATCHES?
Right now our women’s team plays five-a-side in The Goalposts League. Matches are played on Sunday afternoons at The Petchey Academy. We welcome any beginners/intermediate players who’d like to join the side - come along to our main training sessions to find out more.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO TRAINING?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! But as we play on astro turf, football boots or trainers are preferable.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
Our core value is to give every girl and woman the chance to play football, which is why it costs absolutely NOTHING to join Hackney Laces.
IS IT OK IF I’VE NEVER PLAYED FOOTBALL BEFORE?
Totally! Most of our players join us as complete beginners. We’re a judgement free zone.

COVID-19 NOTE: Please do not attend our training sessions if you have been in close contact with anyone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, if you are required to self-isolate, or if have had any symptoms in the past week (fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste).
