Half Term Camp

Last week we were lucky enough to have the support of Youth Experience in Sport (YES) and Invesco to host a half term camp for girls aged 8-18. We had a great time playing small-sided matches, quirky games and of course, the fan favourite football tennis. It was great to see so much energy and lots of smiling faces, despite the wind and rain and all of Storm Eunice’s efforts to spoil our fun. We are one resilient bunch!

We asked Jecoliah, Laces coach and participant, to write about her experience at the camp:

“The camp was a really great experience. It gave me a much needed space to unwind and take a break from a very stressful half term of school. It was a fun environment - I don't remember going even 5 minutes without laughing. It was an amazing opportunity to not only work on my football skills, but to connect with a group of girls who all enjoy playing football.”

Big thanks to YES and Invesco for supporting us. We can’t for the next one in this summer, hopefully in the sunshine this time. Stay tuned for dates!
